I got a final notice to pay this bill, while I was on the phone with them yesterday to convince them to contact my insurance company to resolve the issue. Why they are insisting me to pay the bill because they just don't want to contact my insurance company and resolve the issue?
Why they are not doing their job and claim their bill the right way? Why I should pay this bill $503 while my insurance is willing to pay it? They want the insurance company to call them, while Quest Diagnostics should call to resolve the issue and get their money because they are the claim submitter. They insisted that they will never contact the insurance company to resolve this issue. I contacted Quest Diagnostics billing department many many times and each time waiting for at an hour on the line to tell them to contact my insurance company and they refuse. And even the agent at the insurance company tried to do a conference call with me and Quest but we stayed more than an hour on the line waiting and we couldn't do the conference call.
I contacted the insurance company and they told me Quest never contacted them. I contacted Quest and informed them about that. And the insurance company told me that if Quest Diagnostics contact them they will explain how to resubmit the claim. I checked with my insurance company for the reason of denial, they told me it was not submitted right and the claim should be resubmitted. When Quest Diagnostics submitted the claim to Ambetter my insurance company the claim was denied. I had a procedure on and a sample was sent to the lab.
